BHM: Hidden Poets
Part of Black History Month 2024
Date: Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Location: Yonkers Learning Commons, Room 330 – SUNY Westchester Yonkers and Online via Zoom
Discover African American poets from different eras. You’ll be made aware of those poets’ poems, poetic styles, and forms. You’ll discuss and write about themes that still resonate with African Americans today. Meanwhile, eat some Soul Food at Café and leave with checked-out poetry with our “Pop-Up Poetry Books.” View the flyer for this event.
