Viking Success
Purpose
Viking Success is an interactive platform for students, faculty, and staff to collaborate towards improving academic achievement. With a few clicks of a mouse, students have access to their campus connections and academic information all in one place. Viking Success makes outreach easy and allows faculty and staff to work as a team to ensure students are given the necessary tools to succeed.
Viking Success is our institution’s comprehensive student success platform designed to support faculty and staff in delivering holistic and coordinated care. Its early alert system enables academic counselors and success navigators to provide timely feedback, identify students who may need extra support, and collaborate with colleagues across the campus. By engaging with this platform, academic counselors, success navigators, and other support providers can focus their efforts where they will have the greatest impact, assisting students who are most in need. Viking Success also keeps students well-informed about their academic progress, facilitating informed decisions and promoting strong semester outcomes. Ultimately, Viking Success unites the campus community in achieving our shared goals of retention and student success.

Progress Surveys
The Academic Check-in Progress Surveys, facilitated by the Viking Success platform, are designed to inform students about their course progress at key points during the semester, empowering them to make well-informed decisions about their academic careers. Through these surveys, instructors can recommend improvements and recognize a student’s strong performance, as well as request outreach from an academic counselor or success navigator. The surveys help focus our student success efforts though the early identification of students needing support, enabling timely interventions and targeted assistance.
