What do I need to access Blackboard?
Blackboard can be accessed directly by going to https://sunywcc.sln.suny.edu or from the Westchester Community College Home Page or MyWCC Portal Page. Your username and password for Blackboard is the same as your MyWCC username and password. If you have not activated your MyWCC account, you can do so by clicking on MyWCC in the upper right corner.
Where are my courses listed?
Your courses are listed on the landing page once you log in to Blackboard. The landing page is called My Blackboard and you can access it any time from the My Blackboard menu item at the top of the page. Underneath the My Blackboard menu item are several different labeled areas known as modules. The courses you are enrolled in are listed in the center module titled My Courses and may be accessed from those links.
Why doesn’t my class show on my Blackboard Home page?
Every semester, courses and their enrollments in Blackboard are automatically created by extracting the information from PeopleSoft. For an instructor to have access to these courses on Blackboard, they must be made Instructor of Record for that course in PeopleSoft. If you are assigned by your department to teach a course and it does not show under the My Courses module on your Blackboard Home page, please contact your department to verify that you are listed as Instructor of Record for that course in PeopleSoft. Once this is done, Blackboard will automatically update this data and you will be able to see and interact with the course in Blackboard the following day.
How do I add content to my Blackboard shell?
You may add new course materials to your course or copy a previous course. For further instructions, refer to the Blackboard Tutorials for Faculty page.
How can I receiving training on how to use Blackboard?
