Poets & Writers presents: The Ornithology Jazz Club Lit Series

Two Sunday afternoons each month poets and musicians as well as folks who love words and music flock to Brooklyn’s Café Ornithology to hear professional poets perform their work backed by some NYC’s best jazz musicians. Bass players, pianists, percussionists, kora players and more combine with brilliant spoken word to create an energetic vibe. Now you can experience this magical fusion of word and music as co-host Nick Powers brings the experience to WCC. Also featuring is one of NYC’s premier jazz pianists, Basil Vasiliu. This event is completely interactive as it includes a writing workshop where students can create their own poems and hit the mic with the musicians.

You won’t want to miss this awesome opportunity to experience the spirit of Brooklyn’s dynamic poetry and music scene happening right on campus!
