Graduating Student and Transfer Scholarship Opportunities
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship is Now Accepting Applications!
Students planning to transfer from community college to a four-year institution are encouraged to apply for the Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship, one of the nation’s most prestigious scholarships for high-achieving community college students with financial need. This national scholarship aims for Cooke Scholars to complete their undergraduate education with as little debt as possible. The award, which is last dollar funding after all institutional aid, can be as much as $55,000 a year for the last two to three years to complete a bachelor’s degree.

The Cooke Transfer Scholarship is for community college sophomores or recent graduates planning to transfer to a four-year college or university in the fall of 2027 to complete their bachelor’s degrees. Additionally, eligible applicants must:
• Have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or above.
• Demonstrate financial need. (We will consider applicants with maximum annual family gross income up to $95,000.)
• Have not previously attended a four-year college or university.
The Office of Scholarships, in collaboration with Honors College is hosting an information session on Wednesday, October 21st at 11am at the Honors College Lounge, Library Room 320.

Graduating Student Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships available for graduating students. Deadlines and eligibility requirements vary by scholarship—please review the details below. December 2026, May, and August 2027 graduates are invited to apply. Applications open February 2027!
Graduating Student Scholarships are offered through the Westchester Community College Foundation, as well as transfer scholarships offered by some local four-year colleges and universities.
The Office of Scholarships, in collaboration with Transfer Services, offers workshops and student application assistance during open application season.

The Professor Barbara Connolly Endowed Graduating Scholarship honors the legacy of this well-respected Professor of Economics whose award-winning WCC career spanned over four decades. With an unwavering belief in inspiring academic potential, she provided her students with a high-quality education, fostering critical thinking and awareness of the world in which they live, She was not only a teacher but a mentor to many students. This scholarship is awarded to a graduating student who exemplifies the transformational power of education and who intends to transfer to complete their baccalaureate degree in any major.

The PepsiCo Foundation NextStep Scholarship is designed to help students transition from designated partner community colleges to four-year colleges and universities.

Eligibility criteria:
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for Fall following your SUNY WCC completion.
- WCC GPA requirement at least 3.0
- Have not previously completed a bachelor’s degree

- Application Closes: April 6th
- Decisions letters: End of May
December and May, August graduates are invited to apply.

Partner College Transfer Scholarships are sponsored by the transfer school and are meant to reduce the overall cost of attendance. Students nominated are notified to apply and review the eligibility criteria for consideration.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.25
- Admitted or planning to apply to at least one of the partner colleges listed: Pace, Mercy, or Fordham University.
- Have not previously completed a bachelor’s degree
- December graduates, or May soon-to-be WCC graduates and plans to attend the partner college in the Fall, as a full-time student.
When a nomination is submitted the student will be notified and invited to complete the application.
For this scholarship opportunity, students may be nominated OR may apply directly.
