Money Smart Financial Coaching Program
The Money Smart program offers personal finance tools, resources, and customized advice to help participants manage their money and plan for future success. Best of all, the program is free to participants, thanks to generous grant support from JPMorgan Chase.
Money Smart participants can take advantage of:
- One-on-one financial coaching to identify financial goals and develop a personalized action plan
- Financial education modules covering a range of personal finance topics and providing practical strategies participants can use in their everyday lives.
Outcomes for Students
Every student in the program works with a financial coach to set individual financial goals and create an action plan with steps on how to meet those goals.
Students who successfully complete the requirements will earn a Certificate of Achievement and a Digital Badge recognizing the completion of the Money Start program.
Students who complete the program:
- Build strong money habits: developing consistent saving and budgeting routines to use long after the program ends.
- Make progress towards real goals: identify their individual financial goals and take steps towards reaching them.
- Reduce Financial Stress: Feel more confident and less overwhelmed about managing money.
- Gain Knowledge and Confidence: Financial concepts will feel more practical, approachable and relevant to real life.
Goals that students work on include:
- Creating a budget
- Starting a savings plan with a monthly target
- Reducing credit card debt
- Paying down loans
- Building credit or starting to build a credit history
- Checking their credit report and credit score

Students enrolled in the following courses are eligible for this free program:
