Your Journey begins here!

Welcome to SUNY Westchester Community College. We are excited to have you join our diverse, inclusive, academically challenging, and student-centered college community. We understand that transitioning to our community and the college way of life may be both new and at times strenuous. That is why we have developed New and Transfer Student Orientation.

New and Transfer Student Orientation is a chance for incoming students to connect with other fellow students, learn about academic and campus life, and gain the tools you’ll need before starting your fall classes. These sessions will introduce you to the college, answer your questions about becoming a student here, and help you better understand the academic experience at SUNY Westchester. You’ll also discover the many opportunities to get involved and make the most of your time with us. This informative and engaging experience is designed to help you start your SUNY WCC journey with confidence!

Winter Orientation 2026

New and Transfer Student Winter Orientation is a two-hour experience designed to successfully transition into the SUNY Westchester Community College. The session is a virtual experience and specifically designed for first-time, full-time, new, and transfer students. During the session you’ll learn about the many resources available to you, opportunities for involvement, your rights and responsibilities as a student, and strategies for success at the college.

The session is the first part of our comprehensive Winter Orientation experience. The second part will be completed through an engaging Online Orientation Module, available through the MyWCC portal.

Upcoming Session:
Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm through ZOOM.

Online Orientation

New and Transfer Student Online Orientation is a self-guided Module accessible through your student portal in MyWCC.

Our in-person New and Transfer Student Orientation in August included a campus tour led by an Orientation Leader, along with various sessions designed to help you connect with fellow students and college professionals while learning about available services and opportunities. The Online Orientation captures the essence of that experience in just 1 to 2 hours, providing essential insights on how to succeed at SUNY Westchester and fostering a sense of belonging within our college community.

Below are the steps to log into and complete the Online Orientation Module.

  1. Go to sunywcc.edu.
  2. Login using your MYWCC user ID and password.
