Horror Film Discussion: Fear on Film

Harold L. Drimmer Library

Join us in the library for Film Professor Ellen Kreger’s presentation on horror films, just in time for Halloween!
“As the world around us changes, so does what we find frightening. Horror films have evolved dramatically over the past century, reflecting the fears and anxieties of the society around them. By tracing the evolution of horror films through the decades—from the monsters of the 1930s to the psychological and supernatural horror of the 1960s and 1970s, slasher films of the 1980s and the genre-crossing films of recent years—we will discover what each generation has feared most.”
