Graduating Student and Transfer Scholarships
Applications are now open for scholarships available to graduating students. Deadlines and eligibility requirements vary by scholarship—please review the details below.
December 2025, May, and August 2026 graduates are invited to apply!
Graduating Student Scholarships are offered through the Westchester Community College Foundation, as well as transfer scholarships offered by some local four-year colleges and universities.
The Office of Scholarships, in collaboration with Transfer Services, offers workshops and student application assistance during open application season.

Graduating Student Scholarships
Eligibility criteria:

- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for Fall 2026.
- WCC GPA requirement at least 2.0
- Write an essay (minimum of 500 words) on “How Westchester Community College Has Changed My Life.”
- Provide the name of WCC faculty member, counselor, or staff member from whom you have requested a letter of recommendation.
This one-time scholarship award is part of our Graduating student scholarships that are meant to offset the cost to your first semester at the 4-year college/university of your choosing. The payment will be directly sent to the institution after you have submitted an official enrollment letter confirming that you are registered as a full-time student. The one-time award amount is typically $2,000.
December 2025, May and August 2026 graduates are invited to apply. Application closes March 2, 2026.
Students awarded the Greta Cohan Award will be expected to attend the Academic Recognition Ceremony scheduled for late-April.
The PepsiCo Foundation NextStep Scholarship is designed to help students transition from designated partner community colleges to four-year colleges and universities.
Application opens February 2, 2026; closes March 2, 2026.
Eligibility criteria:
- Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited four-year college or university for Fall 2026.
- WCC GPA requirement at least 3.0
- Have not previously completed a bachelor’s degree

Partner College Transfer Scholarships are sponsored by the transfer school and are meant to reduce the overall cost of attendance. Students nominated are notified to apply and review the eligibility criteria for consideration.
- Cumulative Grade Point Average of 3.25
- Admitted or planning to apply to at least one of the partner colleges listed: Pace, Mercy, or Fordham University.
- Have not previously completed a bachelor’s degree
- December 2025 graduates, or May 2026 soon-to-be WCC graduates and plans to attend the partner college in Fall 2026 as a full-time student.
When a nomination is submitted the student will be notified and invited to complete the application.
For this scholarship opportunity, students may be nominated OR may apply directly.
