About Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs is dedicated to fostering student success by providing a comprehensive range of services and programs that support academic achievement, personal development, and community engagement. Led by the Vice President of Student Affairs, the division comprises several key departments, each playing a vital role in enhancing the student experience.

Student Life is integral to the Division of Student Affairs, offering opportunities for students to engage beyond the classroom. This unit oversees various extracurricular activities, including athletics, student clubs & organizations, multicultural programs, leadership development experiences, service learning, and more. promoting a vibrant campus community. Student Life advocates for students’ rights and responsibilities, administered through the Student Code of Conduct, which protects the rights of community members, creates an environment that is conducive to learning, maintains the safety and well-being of the community, and supports the belief that all members of the institution should be part of an inclusive, welcoming, and affirming environment.  Student Life also supports student health and well-being through a variety of counseling and wellness initiatives that help students with their physical and mental health and helps individuals access basic need resources.”

The Center for Academic Counseling and Student Success provides personalized academic advising, helping students develop educational plans aligned with their goals and abilities. This support empowers students to take an active role in their education and assume personal responsibility for their academic journey.

Student Support Services addresses personal challenges that may affect academic performance. Through individualized success plans, case management, and referrals to external resources, this department aims to alleviate obstacles, promoting overall student wellness and success.

The Admissions and Enrollment Services team guides prospective and newly accepted students through the onboarding process, offering information sessions, campus tours, and personalized assistance to ensure a smooth transition into college life. They provide resources such as the “Let’s Get Started!” module, which is essential for new students to begin their academic journey.
