Whether you’re preparing for your first exam or already have your scores in hand, follow our three-step process below to get your results evaluated and applied to your WCC transcript. Review our CLEP equivalency guide to identify which WCC courses you can earn credit for.

3 Steps to Earn CLEP Credit

Getting college credit for what you already know is simple. Follow these steps to verify your course equivalencies, locate an official testing center, and transfer your scores to SUNY WCC.

Review Accepted Exams

Check our official WCC equivalency guide to see exactly which CLEP exams translate to college credits and the minimum passing scores required.

Before registering: Confirm that the CLEP exam you plan to take is accepted for credit at SUNY WCC.

Register for an Exam

SUNY WCC is not a CLEP testing center. CLEP exams are administered by the College Board.

Visit the College Board CLEP website to explore available exams, review exam content, learn about fees and testing options, register for an exam, and find testing locations or remote proctoring options.

Submit Your Scores

SUNY WCC must receive an official CLEP score report to evaluate your exam for college credit.

When registering for a CLEP exam, you may select SUNY Westchester Community College as a score recipient.

If you have already taken your CLEP exam, you can request an official score report through your My CLEP account.
