TESOL Scholarship
Summary
The Westchester Community College Foundation, in partnership with SUNY Westchester Community College, provides scholarships to help students pursue their goal of becoming TESOL teachers (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages). These scholarships support individuals seeking to enter the English language teaching field or advance their teaching careers as quickly as possible. The scholarship covers the full cost of the program including registration fees.
TESOL Scholarship Application Requirements
To be considered for the WCC ELI TESOL Scholarship, applicants must:
- Show a clear and obvious commitment to pursuing a career in teaching English to speakers of other languages (ESOL).
- Be a resident of the United States and plan to teach in the United States for at least one year.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Complete the scholarship application form and submit along with one recommendation letter.
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout the duration of the program.
