Radiologic Technology Program Admissions Information

Program Admission and Application Information

Admission to the program is highly selective and competitive. Clinical constraints determine the maximum number of students admitted to provide a comprehensive clinical experience. As a result, candidates are selected by committee based upon prior academic records, the entrance essay after clinical observation, and averaged interview scores. The number of candidates selected annually is approximately 27.

Successfully meeting the requirements does not guarantee admission.

Applications become available on this web page annually on the first day of the Spring Semester and must be submitted by March 15. Applications are accepted only during this time period and there are no exceptions.

Priority is given to students that have completed at least 12 credits of the degree requirements at SUNY Westchester Community College and to students that have applied to the Program in a previous year.

To be considered for acceptance, the applicant must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age by the start of the program (every Fall Semester)
  • Be a high school graduate or GED recipient
