Eligibility – Westchester EOC
To be considered for enrollment, you must meet the income and educational guidelines established by the State University of New York and you must meet the minimum enrollment criteria for your program of choice. Refer to the Eligibility Guidelines listed below to determine if you are eligible under the income guidelines. The income guidelines are based on the number of members in your household and the total income of all the wage earners in the household in the last 12 months. In extenuating circumstances, waivers may be granted to applicants who do not meet the guidelines and can demonstrate need. For example, extenuating circumstances could be suddenly becoming unemployed, displaced due to Hurricane Maria, etc.
General Economic Eligibility Guidelines 2021-2022
Income Guidelines- General Economic Eligibility*
The table below lists economic eligibility requirements for EOC admission during the 2021-2022 academic year. In order to be determined economically disadvantaged, a student's household income must not exceed the amount shown for its size in the applicable category or the student's circumstances must conform to one of the exceptions indicated. In addition to the economic criteria, the applicant must:
- be a resident of New York and a United States citizen or qualifying TANF alien.
- meet educational entrance guidelines as outlined in the EOC Guidelines.

INCOME GUIDELINES DO NOT APPLY IF:
- The student's family is the recipient of Family Assistance or Safety Net payments through the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance; or through a county Department of Social Services; or Family Day Care payments through the New York State Office of Children and Family Assistance;
- The student is in foster care as established by the court;
- The student is a ward of the state or county.
Federal Poverty Level Eligibility Guidelines 2021-2022

The EOC can admit a maximum of 50% of all EOC applicants under the economic category of 200 percent of poverty as outlined in the table below. Documentation of income must follow the guidelines as demonstrated below. In addition to the economic criteria, the applicant must:
- be a resident of New York State and a United States citizen or qualifying TANF alien.
- meet educational entrance guidelines as outlined in the EOC Guidelines.

Required Documentation
At the time of registration, all applicants must submit:
- Proof of Income
- Proof of New York State Residency for 12 months
- Proof of Permanent Residency or Citizenship, if not born in the United States
- High School diploma or GED (for vocational programs) and College Prep Academy
Some of WEOC’s programs have additional special documentation requirements. If you plan to enroll in any of the health-related programs or our College Prep program, you must be prepared to supply additional documentation as listed below. Additional documents could include:
- Driver License or Driver Permit and a Driver’s Abstract (for CDL, EMT & Direct Care Support Professional Programs)
- Physical Exam/Medical Clearance (for CNA, HHA, EMT, Direct Care Support Professional, Medical Coding & Billing, & Certified Pharmacy Technician)
- High School Diploma or GED (for vocational programs & College Prep)
- Official High School transcript and/or drop letter, when indicated
- College Transcript (if applicable)
