Mangia – Sip and Savor Italian Dinner! Join home chef extraordinaire and Food Network’s Outchef’d winner Wendy Pregiato of The Winning Kitchen for a special cooking demonstration and tasting in her Eastchester kitchen exclusively for the lifelong-learners of WCC. This will be an unforgettable evening of Italian flavors, fun, and flair! Wendy will kick things off by teaching us how to make a tasty Caesar salad with a bold, homemade dressing that comes together in seconds, perfect for even a weeknight with its crunchy, fresh ingredients. Next, learn to create irresistible golden and buttery garlic bread with bread from the legendary Terranova Bakery in the Bronx. Our showstopper is a lesson on chicken saltimbocca (Italian for “jump in my mouth”). This recipe is tender and savory, paired with juicy tomatoes, fresh basil, and creamy burrata for a “winning” combination. Wendy’s dolce tutorial is a decadent toffee tiramisu, a sweet twist on the classic that is sure to impress. Whether you are Italian by heritage or at heart, this class will give you the skills and recipes to create a meal that will be sure to please! Light snacks will be served and because no Italian meal is complete without wine, Wendy will share her Italian favorites; Montepulciano and Pinot Grigio, perfectly paired to complement this menu. Enjoy a tasting of all the dishes at the end of the class. You will be given the Eastchester address at registration. Wendy created the “Eastchester Eats” Facebook community and has been featured in Westchester Magazine. Pick one of two dates (A or B). As a favorite instructor, these classes sell out quickly and are enjoyed in a lovely intimate, yet social, setting!
