Sourdough Bread – Hands-on! Cook, Learn & Collaborate in the gorgeous GE Appliances’ CoCreate kitchens! Dedicated to culinary inspiration, this location is outfitted with the latest Monogram appliances to provide a fully functional Demo Kitchen, designed for one-of-a-kind classes, workshops, and experiences. Get ready for an interactive lesson and tutorial on “all things” sourdough bread. Learn about the cultivating and weekly feeding of your starter, the concept of “discard” and ideas on what to do with it. Discover the techniques on how to mix the ingredients and achieve stretch and folds, this class will teach you to feel confident making bread. Taught in stages with prepared doughs that have “risen” overnight and been kept in cold ferment overnight. This class will teach you all the ins and outs of Sourdough and have you feeling the dough. You will take home a mini loaf of sourdough bread and a small jar of starter to feed at home. The tasting samples will be provided from a freshly baked bread to enjoy with some butter spreads. You can bring home a full loaf of freshly baked bread – available for purchase for $12 each. Grab a friend for an educational “look” into baking sourdough bread in the beautiful GE Appliances’ CoCreate building.
