Chicken Pot, Chicken Pot, Chicken Pot Pie – Hands-on! One of the best bakeries in Westchester and the BOW awards to prove it, you can say that Susan O’Keefe knows a thing or two about baking for over 20 years. Her award-winning bakery is a lovely inviting spot to visit and enjoy delicious treats. This seasoned baker will teach us the basics of a versatile dough recipe that will enable you to create a beautiful tender and flaky crust reminiscent of childhood. Watch a demo on what goes into their classic chicken pot pie. Susan will show how to easily shred the in-house roasted white meat chicken, combining it with chopped onions, carrots, and celery sautéed in butter. Finishing it off with a “how to” on their special savory bechamel (cream) sauce to bring it all together. After you decorate the top crust of your pie pack it up to transport home to bake or freeze for a tasty meal. A mini-lesson on cranberry sauce to accompany a slice of BBS’s chicken pot pie and lemonade after class. They offer weekly events including music and now serve house-made Sangria along with many selections of wine, beer and cider to purchase should you choose to imbibe. Optional additional $10 invites you to enjoy a special SURPRISE bag of goodies. Pre-order for Wednesday’s 4-person meal “What’s for dinner, Susie?” for a delicious dinner and dessert to go.
