New and Transfer Student Orientation

New and Transfer Student Orientation will feature a campus walk through with an Orientation Leader. There will be different sessions for students to connect with other students, meet college professionals, and learn about student services and opportunities. We encourage all incoming students to attend Orientation, as it provides a valuable platform to establish connections and cultivate a stronger sense of belonging within our college community. Attending Orientation guarantees that each incoming student gains a comprehensive understanding of what our college has to offer. Details on each session and how incoming students can sign up can be found below.

In Person Orientation sessions:
Monday, August 11, 2025, starting at 9:30 am
Tuesday, August 12, 2025, starting at 9:30 am
Thursday, August 14, 2025, starting at 9:30 am
Starting at the David Swope Student Center, SUNY Westchester Valhalla

Family Orientation sessions:
There will be two Family Orientation sessions offered in English and Spanish.
Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
at the Classroom Building, SUNY Westchester Valhalla

Virtual Orientation session:
This virtual session is ONLY for evening and/or online students
Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
