AI tools and adoption are rapidly expanding. This session will focus on the current state of the union of AI and its implications and applications for higher-ed. This session will address common apprehensions and questions and offer a discussion forum and how it will transform education. Best practice examples and references will be shared with participants for use and further adoption.

Open to all STEM faculty and deans.

Bio for John Jagtiani, PhD.
Dr. Jagtiani is an established technology leader and an experienced educator leader. His professional experience includes 25+ years of aligning technology initiatives to business strategy, management consulting, and project implementations. He currently serves as Professor and Department Chair at CT State Northwestern where he is deeply involved with developing and teaching undergraduate coursework in computing, technology, data science and business across CT State. Dr. Jagtiani has also been privileged to serve on several Statewide and National governance initiatives that guide and shape computing and technology education for future students and eventual industry adoption. His work as the CT State Rep on the National Expanding Computing Education Pathways (ECEP) initiative is helping define K-12 CS education. Dr. Jagtiani develops and teaches graduate courses at the University of Bridgeport, Fairfield University, and University of New Haven from time to time.
