SUNY Empire State University Transfer Agreement

General Agreement Highlights (other than Nursing):
- Students must graduate from Westchester Community College.
- WCC students who complete an A.A., A.S. or A.A.S. degree with a GPA of 2.0 or higher will be guaranteed acceptance to SUNY Empire and will transfer with junior standing.
- SUNY Empire will fully accept in transfer an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree from WCC.
- A maximum of 79 lower-division credits will be applied toward the completion of the articulated SUNY Empire Bachelor’s degree program.
- Waiver of the $50 admission/orientation fee.
- All fees waived for military members (active-duty, guard, reserve, and veterans) along with their spouses. Waived fees include: orientation fee, college fee, student activity fee, technology fee, health and wellness fee, portfolio (assessment) fee, and program amendment fee.
Nursing Program Agreement Highlights:
- Students must graduate with an A.A.S. in Nursing from WCC with a 2.8 or higher GPA to be eligible to enroll in the SUNY Empire Nursing B.S. Online Degree Program.
- All Nursing coursework must have a C+ or higher and all liberal arts and science courses must be a C or higher.
- SUNY Empire will accept up to 79 lower-division credits in transfer, including 64 credits from the WCC A.A.S. in Nursing towards SUNY Empire’s Nursing B.S. Online Degree Program.
- Upon acceptance, students must complete a minimum of 41 credits of upper-division major nursing coursework to graduate from Empire’s RN to BSN program.
Transfer Scholarship:
- SUNY Empire will provide a one-time $100 transfer scholarship once matriculated at SUNY Empire.
