Viking Dining Dollars
Open Enrollment: August 28, 2025 – September 26, 2025
Dining with friends is an important part of the college experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down between classes, Viking Dining Dollars make it easy to eat on campus using your Financial Aid.
SUNY Westchester Community College, in partnership with the Faculty-Student Association (FSA), offers Viking Dining Dollars for food purchases at all dining locations on the Valhalla campus.
Eligibility
- Full-time students: At least $3,500 in Financial Aid
- Part-time students: At least $3,000 in Financial Aid and enrolled in at least one Valhalla campus class
- Available after tuition, fees, and books are paid
- Only students who receive an email or postcard invitation may participate
Important Notes

Balances do not roll over to the next semester

Unused balances will not be refunded
Dining Plan Options
Choose one plan per semester: $50, $100, $200 or $300
- Must re-enroll each semester
- Once selected, amounts cannot be changed or canceled
- Funds are available the next business day after sign-up, but cannot be used until the first day of classes
- No sales tax on food purchases (save 7.4%)
- Accepted at all dining locations: Viking Café, Crema Café, and Siegel Café
How to Use Viking Dining Dollars
- Go to any dining location on campus
- Present your Student ID and student ID number to the cashier
- Bring a copy of your confirmation email (received after granting permission)
- Ask the cashier to confirm your available balance before your first purchase
- Cashiers can provide your updated balance after each transaction
Sign up for $200 or $300 in Viking Dining Dollars and receive a FREE 12 oz fountain drink with your first purchase.
Pick up your coupon in the FSA Office (behind the Bookstore). Coupon must be presented at purchase.

Viking Dining Dollars with Financial Aid
Students may use Financial Aid funds to purchase food on campus by activating Viking Dining Dollars through the College Portal.
Please Note:
- Permission must be granted each semester
- Funds will be available approximately 24 hours after permission is submitted
How to Activate Viking Dining Dollars
- Log in to MYWCC
- Enter your USER ID & PASSWORD & LOG IN
- Click STUDENT SELF SERVICE CENTER
- Select the FINANCIAL ACCOUNT Tab
- Select ACCOUNT SERVICES, and Choose VIEW STUDENT PERMISSIONS
- Select NEXT under the MEALS option
- Follow the System prompts and Click READ THE AGREEMENT
- On the drop down, Choose your DESIRED DOLLAR AMOUNT: $50, $100, $200 or $300
- Click SUBMIT/OK

Make sure to pick up your COFFEE CARD. Purchase five coffee drinks and your sixth coffee is free.
- Purchase five coffee drinks and your sixth is free at any one of our locations including Crema Café where We Proudly Serve Starbucks Coffee! Redeemable for 12 oz. coffee only, no substitutions. Cards are available at all dining services locations.
Hungry Man Breakfast
- The $9.99 Hungry Man Breakfast- Bacon, Egg & Sausage served with 2 Pancakes & homefries is available at the Viking Café only. (Price plus tax)

Vending
- Vending on campus and at the extension sites is provided by Berkshire Food Inc., a subsidiary of Canteen, a division of Compass Group USA, Inc. in partnership with Pepsi. Vending machines are equipped with the “MIND” technology that displays nutritional facts. Vending machines accept cash and credit/debit cards.
- If you need a vending refund, please scan the QR code located on the front of the vending machines to access the Berkshire Food team. The Berkshire Food team member will instruct you on how to request a refund. If you need further assistance, please contact Berkshire Food Inc. at (888) 792-3435. Sustainability Initiatives
GO GREEN SAVE GREEN Refillable Mug Program
Every new mug comes with one complimentary free coffee, tea, or fountain drink- The Go Green Save Green mug also comes with a 10% discount on the purchase of all future coffee, tea, and fountain drinks at all WCC dining locations
- Mugs keep beverages hotter and colder longer than disposable cups
- All mugs are BPA free and come with a stainless steel interior
- Mugs are available for sale at all Dining locations and at the WCC Bookstore
- Americans use an estimated 16 BILLION paper coffee cups annually
- Over 6.5 million trees per year are used in the production process
- Creating the coating within the paper stock is very energy intensive: 4 billion gallons of water are used in the production process and in addition this coating is not recyclable
- If you buy a cup of coffee or tea in a disposable cup every day, you toss 365 cups a years. That’s 23 lbs. of waste in one year!
- Using the mug prevents not just paper cups, but lids and straws from going into the waste stream
Other Sustainability Initiatives
Composting
Dining Services is partnering with the Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities on an EPA grant to convert our kitchen organic food waste to compost.
Dining Services recycles all of its used cooking oil into bio fuel as part of its sustainability initiatives.
Cardboard
As part of our recycling efforts, Dining Services and the Bookstore utilize a cardboard compactor to recycle all boxes.
