14 Faculty & Staff Victoria McMullen I am Victoria McMullen and I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art from Manhattanville College. I serve as one of SUNY Westchester Center for the Digital Arts’ full-time front office assistants. I am privileged to work in the front lines of the office, where I assist students of all ages and backgrounds. Whether they be fresh out of high school and aspiring to earn a degree, amember of the workforce looking to change careers, or an older adult just looking for something to do, I am there for them, happy to help! With my artistic background, I’m also a part of the center’s marketing team, drafting flyers and using my keen eyes to proof content and layout, so our marketing can be as visually appealing as it can be! After starting in my office assistant position, I had to be knowledgeable of the multitude of different workforce training courses that the center offered, all taught by my fellow colleagues and artists. I even had the opportunity to register and participate in the courses myself! I have taken Digital Animation with Procreate and the two Adobe Certified Professional Exam Preparation classes. I am proud to say that I am now an Adobe Certified Professional in both Photoshop and Illustrator. I have also earned non-credit certificates in User Experience (UX) Design and 3D Animation, which were certificate programs with an intensive course of study. I have always enjoyed the arts, so visual, music, and performing arts played a key role in the development of who I am today. A lot of the subject matter for my visual arts stem from real-life, as well as shows and games I love to this day. I took the opportunity of studio access during my time at Manhattanville to experiment with different artistic mediums, including collage, as seen through the piece I present in the Faculty & Staff Exhibition. Self Portrait is a collage using torn pieces of acrylic painted paper and is one of my absolut favorite pieces I’ve made. I’m honored to share this piece with others and to have been included in this exhibition alongside my incredible colleagues! Be sure to stop by the office sometime to say hello! Medium: Collage, Paper on Cardboard with Acrylic Paint Size: 39x30x.5” Self Portrait
