Over twenty students participated by exhibiting their portfolios and eleven companies were represented by professionals who provided critical feedback to students. The keynote speaker was the notable, Bre Pettis, CEO of Bantam Tools, Inc. Pettis discussed his own trajectory and practice in becoming a business owner and an artist and the risk he needed to take to believe in himself and his journey. There was a broad array of professional designers and industry represented including, media sponsor, River Journal News which was a boon for the students who gained exposure, opportunity, and most of all specific feedback on their work to further develop. The center hopes to have another Digital Media Career Day in the Spring of 2025. We’ll keep you posted! Celebrate Our 30th Anniversary! Join The Student Showcase Exhibition Today! 2024 marks the 30th Anniversary of the SUNY Westchester Peekskill Center for the Digital Arts and the Center for the Digital Arts Gallery is pleased to present a Student Showcase in celebration of this momentous occasion. Artists and designers have been coming to the center for 30 years to train in our industry grade post-production facility and develop their skills in the latest technologies. The center continues to support aspiring artists and students of all kinds in the purposeful use of arts technology. We invite students to visit the gallery submission page at https://centerforthedigitalarts.gallery and submit their artwork for exhibition. Submissions for the exhibition are due December 1, 2023.
