New and Transfer Student Orientation – Family Orientation

Family Orientation gives families the chance to learn about the many services, resources, and opportunities available to support their student’s success. It’s also a great way to better understand the new responsibilities and challenges students may face as they begin their college journey. Family Orientation features a formal, panel-style discussion that provides valuable insights into the SUNY Westchester experience. Family members will hear directly from college staff about how they can support their student and stay connected throughout their time at the College.

*If a family member is planning to attend, please register them upon registering yourself. Family Orientation is not intended for incoming students and does not meet the student Orientation requirement as it is a distinct experience.

Family Orientation sessions:
There will be two Family Orientation sessions offered in English and Spanish.
Tuesday, August 19, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm
at the Classroom Building, SUNY Westchester Valhalla
