Athletics Photography and Media

Job Title: Athletics Photography Intern
Hiring Manager: Samantha Champa
Duration: Semester Long, 15 weeks
Location: WCC, Valhalla Campus
Pay: Westchester County Minimum Wage up to 120 Hours

Job Description:

Intern will attend games and practices as needed to take photos or videos of athletics events. Interns will also be asked to do Media Days with each team. After taking photos, participants will edit and submit in a timely manner. Clear communication and being on time is required.

Hours: 120 minimum per Semester. Will vary each week dependent on game schedule and which teams are in season

Key Duties:

1. Take photos or videos of Athletic Events
2. Attend Media Days
3. Submit photos onto the Athletics Share Drive
4. Clear Communication
5. Willingness to learn and grow in the profession

Qualifications:

• GPA: 2.5 or better, student in good standing
• 24 hours of earned credits at time of internship
• Approval of Curriculum Char or other Faculty in Major
• Ability to work 8 hours a week/120 hours over the semester in the internship
• Must be enrolled at SUNY WCC in an industry related degree program.
• Prior experience taking photos for athletic teams preferred, not required. Ability to have a flexible schedule.
