Programming and Workshops
Fundamental to comprehensive and holistic mental health support is the development and support of ongoing learning and engagement opportunities for the college community. Licensed Mental Health Professionals participate in and facilitate programming and psychoeducation opportunities including but not limited to workshops, presentations, and forums on a variety of topics related to mental health and well being.

Upcoming Programs and Workshops:
When: Every other Wednesdays at 11:15am, starting February 1st
Location: Student Center 155 (next to Bookstore)
Feeling stressed? Down? Uncertain? Coping is a bi-weekly program open to all WCC students to talk openly and learn healthy ways of managing stress related to school and life.
In this space, you’ll meet with a Licensed Mental Health Professional from the Department of Mental Health and Counseling Services, and other WCC students. These sessions are free and will meet on the following dates:
- February 1st
- February 15th
- March 1st
- March 22nd
- April 5th
- April 19th

Where: Student Center 155 (next to Bookstore)
Join Licensed Mental Health Professional and Mindfulness Instructor, Walesca Marmolejos, for twice a month in person mindfulness practice. Each session is open to all student of all levels and abilities. Modification to activities will be offered.
These sessions are free and will meet on the following dates:

- April 26th

Mental Health Task Force
The Mental Health Task Force at Westchester Community College is a multidisciplinary team of faculty, staff, and students who are committed to the prioritization of student mental health and wellness. Using a holistic, public health framework, the Mental Health Task Force aims to assess the current culture and services related to student mental health.
The Task Force’s development and utilization of a strategic plan will support the goal of enhancing the quality and accessibility of mental health and wellness services, information, programs, and resources across the Westchester Community College community.
