Sociologists look at the social institutions and structures that organize social beings and our social lives. In this talk we will explore how institutions influence our constructs of and engagement in romantic relationships. Social structures of gender, class, race, and sexuality will be used to consider a diversity of experiences in romantic relationships.
At the end of the event, three student attendees will have a chance to win free copies of the book “Cohabitation Nation: Gender, Class, and the Remaking of Relationships.”
