DESCRIPTION:Classroom Building\, CLA 100\nFacilitated by Prof. Julie Linden\nThis event honors the life and legacy of Jane Goodall (1934-2025)\, whose career arc from pioneering primatologist to global conservation leader embodies this year’s Women’s History Month theme. The session will open with a screening of Goodall’s 2020 TED interview with Chris Anderson\, “Every Day You Live\, You Impact the Planet\,” in which she reflects on her formative research at Gombe\, her transformation from scientist to activist\, and her holistic approach to conservation—one that links environmental protection to community health\, education\, economic opportunity\, and youth empowerment. A facilitated discussion will follow the screening. The event will invite participants to consider how Goodall’s insistence that “every day you live\, you impact the planet” challenges us to think about sustainable transformation in our own lives and communities.
