Black Indians: the Journey of Afro-Native Americans

During this presentation, Taino poet and storyteller Bobby Gonzalez considers the history of Africans who encountered both positive and negative experiences with the Native Peoples they encountered, possibly before 1492. Certain tribes like the Cherokee, Seminole and Taino had a considerable rate of intermarriage and various others will be discussed during this experience.
