DESCRIPTION:Free Tax Prep for working families and individuals. \nThe VITA tax drive will be back on campus to provide free tax preparation by appointment only (Mondays and Wednesdays 9 am – 5 pm) in the Gateway Center Room G144. Income limits apply. Appointments are open to the general public. For more information\, or to make an appointment\, call: 211 or 1-800-899-1479 \nPlease bring with you: \n\n\nPhoto ID and Social Security cards for all dependents to be listed on your tax return\n\n\nA copy of last year’s tax return\n\n\nW-2 forms for each job\, 1099-R\, 1099-INT/DIV\, 1099-G\, 1099 SSA\, 1099MISC\, Marketplace 1095-A\, 8962 for Premium Tax Credit\, 8965 Exemption\, and Employer 1095-B\n\n\nIf claiming childcare expenses\, documentation\, &\nprovider’s Tax ID\n\n\nForm 1098T and 1098-E (tuition and fees paid)\n\n\nIf married and filing jointly\, spouse must be present\n\n\nBanking information or voided check to verify the account routing and account number for direct deposit of refunds.\n\n\nReasonable accommodations will be provided on request.\nLanguage translation available.\nTax Sites may be subject to closure due to inclement weather. \nView the informational flyer in English \nView the informational flyer in Spanish \nThe Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program has provided\nfree tax prep & millions of dollars in tax refunds\nto thousands of Westchester residents since 2004. \n“You earned it\, keep all of it.” \nPresented by Westchester County and the Westchester-Putnam Career Center Network.
