Alexis del Sol completed her Masters in Fine Arts in Dance with a Graduate Interdisciplinary Specialization (GIS) in Latino/a Studies at The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH in 2012. Her research interests include identity and LatCrit theories and the Latino/a presence in dance history scholarship. She presented her choreography and research entitled Stories Among Us at TEDx WCC March 2017. Currently, del Sol teaches ballet, jazz, modern, choreography and Latin Dance at Westchester Community College. In 2013, she created the Mosaic Project. This annual event serves as an interdisciplinary platform for WCC students to share their experience with diversity artistically and creates inroads for conversations related to identity, community and art. She is the co-chair of the Latin American Heritage Month Committee, member of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee, serves as a mentor to the Connections program and Advisor to the Dance Club.
