Cap and Gown Order Form
Congratulations to our graduates from August and December 2019, and our potential candidates for graduation for May 2020. The college is proud of your accomplishment, and we want to inform you of upcoming deadlines for the May 14, 2020 Commencement Ceremony.
As of Friday, March 6, 2020 you should have received an email to your MYWCC EMAIL with the subject title: Commencement Ceremony Sign Up and Cap and Gown Order from firstname.lastname@example.org
Please check your SPAM/JUNK folder.If you did not receive the email please follow the steps below:
- Visit the website https://sunywcc.marchingorder.com/#/
- Select the New User box and click the register button
- Marchingorder.com will then send you a UNIQUE PASSWORD
- Log in and complete the SIGN UP process.
- You may return to the site at any time by going to https://sunywcc.marchingorder.com/#/
All users MUST use their MYWCC email in order to sign up for their cap and gown. Personal emails will NOT be accepted.
If you attempt steps 1 through 4 and are unsuccessful, please email us at email@example.com for assistance.
Please remember you MUST sign up for the ceremony by April 2, 2020.
COMMENCEMENT SIGN UP and CAP & GOWN ORDERS
All graduates must sign up for Commencement and order a cap and gown if they are participating in the event on May 14, 2020. Caps and gowns are free for all graduates. To sign up and order your cap and gown, please follow the instructions on the email you received from firstname.lastname@example.org.
All graduates must order their cap and gown by April 2, 2020. If you do not sign up and place an order for a cap and gown by the deadline, we cannot guarantee one will be available to you for Commencement.
To explain the expectations and procedures for Commencement, a 30 minute online rehearsal will be emailed to all graduates one week prior to cap and gown pick-up.
You must bring a printout of the completed rehearsal when picking up your cap and gown. If you did not complete this in advance, you will be able to complete it on site, but it will take you an additional 30 minutes.
CAP & GOWN DISTRIBUTION
All graduates MUST pick up their cap & gown on one of the following dates & times:
|Monday, May 11||11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.||Bookstore|
|Tuesday, May 12||11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.||Bookstore|
All graduates will need to bring a photo ID with them to pick up their cap & gown.
COMMENCEMENT GUEST TICKETS
All graduates will be able to bring up to three (3) guests to Commencement. Admission into the County Center will only be given to guests with a Commencement Guest Ticket. Due to limited seating, no extra tickets will be available.
Each graduate will receive three (3) guest tickets when they pick up their cap and gown. Please note that graduates will not need guest tickets to gain entry into the County Center.
COMMENCEMENT LIVE STREAM
The Commencement will be live-streamed on the internet. Individuals interested to watch can visit the homepage of the College (www.sunywcc.edu) on the night of Commencement (Thursday, May 14). The video should go live at approximately 5:30/5:45pm when procession begins.
COMMENCEMENT DAY INFORMATION
The Graduation Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 6:00pm at the County Center, located at 198 Central Avenue, White Plains, NY.
Graduates should plan to arrive at the County Center between 4:30pm – 5:00pm. Upon arrival, graduates should proceed to the lower level of the building. Graduation procession will begin promptly at 5:45pm.
If you are late for the procession you WILL NOT be able to sit with your curriculum.
Graduates should not bring large bags or purses with them to Commencement as graduates are not guaranteed to be sitting in the same place in which they started.
Due to the limited parking and increased traffic in the area of the County Center, please include extra time in your travel plans in order to arrive safely and on time for the Ceremony. Parking is not free at the County Center and all graduates and their guests will have to pay a nominal fee.
