Responsibilities: The Physical Sciences Department seeks a Physics Adjunct. Teaching assignments will include lecture and laboratory instruction in general physics (algebra and calculus-based).
Qualifications: A minimum of a Master’s degree and one year of practical experience are required. A Master’s degree in physics and one year of practical experience teaching physics at the secondary and/or undergraduate level strongly preferred. The incumbent must possess a commitment to teaching excellence and knowledge of effective pedagogy, assessment techniques, and current research and practices in science education. Familiarity with the goals of a community college and a demonstrated ability to interact with a diverse and multicultural student body required.
Position Effective: Fall 2019
Hourly Rate of Pay: $80.95 per hour. No benefits.
