The same as high school graduates from the US – please have your high school email a copy of your official high school transcript to HSTranscript@sunywcc.edu. If the language is not in English or Spanish, you’ll need to submit an English language translation as well. If your high school is unable to email your transcript, you can bring in your original high school diploma to the Admissions Office. Can I study at Westchester Community College? Yes, the College is open to everyone, regardless of immigration status. Immigration status might affect the tuition rate you pay, however. Under New York state law, certain non-resident students, including ‘out-ofstatus’ students and undocumented students, are eligible for resident tuition if they fall into one of the following categories: 1. They attended an approved New York State high school for at least two years, graduated from an approved New York State high school, and applied for attendance at a SUNY or CUNY college within five years of receiving a New York State high school diploma, or 2. They attended an approved New York State program for high school equivalency diploma (GED) preparation, received a high school equivalency diploma (GED) issued within New York State, and applied for attendance at a SUNY or CUNY college within five years of receiving the high school equivalency diploma (GED). If a student meets the above requirements, he/she must email the Bursar’s Office at Bursar@sunywcc.edu to request an affidavit. The affidavit must be signed and notarized and must be emailed back to the Bursar’s Office along with a copies of the student’s high school diploma and high school transcript OR a copy of the student’s high school equivalency diploma (HSE/GED).
