If it’s still not working, you can pay in person at the Bursar’s Office or an extension site, or you could mail in a check to the Bursar’s Office. How do I use a 529 College Savings plan to pay for my tuition? The firm that administers the 529 plan would send a check to the Bursar’s Office. If the check will not be received in time for the drop deadline, the firm can also email a confirmation to the Bursar’s Office stating that the payment for a particular student is being processed; the confirmation should also include the amount of the payment and as estimate as to when the payment should arrive. When this email is received, the Bursar’s Office will put an ‘Exclude from Class Cancellation’ hold on the student’s account. If the 529 plan is administered by the State, the payment can be wired to the Bursar’s Office. Where do I get a receipt? In the ‘Student Self-Service Center’ section of your MyWCC account, select the ‘Financial Account’ tile and then ‘Invoice’. A receipt/letter for insurance purposes can be obtained from the Registrar’s Office. Why am I being blocked from registering? Check your list of holds to see if you have a Bursar hold on your account. Please note that if you have an outstanding balance, you will be blocked from registering online. You can pay your outstanding balance online, and the block will be automatically lifted overnight; to request that the block be lifted faster, please contact Bursar@sunywcc.edu I owe money from a previous semester; what should I do? Outstanding balances can be paid online or in-person. For any outstanding balance PRIOR to Fall 2010, students must contact the Bursar’s Office. You may contact the Bursar’s Office by writing to Bursar@sunywcc.edu . If you are unable to pay off an outstanding balance from a previous semester in full, it is possible to set up a deferred agreement payment plan - please go to www.sunywcc.edu/bursar, click on ‘Payment Types’ and then on ‘Deferred Payment Agreement Form’. After the form is submitted to the Bursar’s Office, your account will not be sent to Collections provided that you meet the agreed-upon payment deadlines. Please note that you will not be able to register or view your grades until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
