VERIFICATION LETTERS How can I get an official letter stating I’m officially registered at the College? Enrollment verification letters are now available online through the National Student Clearinghouse. Log on to your MyWCC account and click on ‘Student Self-Service Center’ tile. Select the ‘Academic Records’ tile and then ‘Enrollment Verification’ to access the National Student Clearinghouse’s website. How would an employer/ agency be allowed to verify my record from the College? If there are any employer/background checking agencies that need to verify your degree/ enrollment here, students would first need to submit a signed release to the Registrar’s Office. I’m transferring to another college and they have given me a form that a Dean here needs to sign regarding my conduct/disciplinary records at the college. Who can I speak to? These forms are provided by the school you are transferring to and are signed in the Registrar’s Office. To have your form completed by Westchester Community College, please email it to Registrar@sunywcc.edu TRANSCRIPTS FROM WESTCHESTER COMMUNITY COLLEGE What is the difference between official and unofficial transcripts? Official transcripts are used to verify your grades to other institutions. These come with an official college seal to signify authenticity. Students are required to submit an official request and pay a $10 fee for copies of their official transcripts. An unofficial transcript is simply a printout of all of a student’s grades at the college to date. You can view your unofficial transcript online by logging into your MyWCC Account. To view your unofficial transcript, log on to your MyWCC account and select the ‘Student Self-Service Center’ tile. Select the ‘Academic Records’ tile and then ‘View Unofficial Transcripts’. Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off and follow the prompts to view your unofficial transcript. How do I get a copy of my official Westchester Community College transcript? Official transcripts (hard copy) can be requested online, through mail, or in person. Electronic copies of official transcripts can only be ordered online by going to www.sunywcc.edu/transcripts . The link to Parchment can also be accessed by going to mywcc.sunywcc.edu and clicking on the ‘Transcript Request’ tile (either before or after logging in). A student ID number or social security number is required. To request an official transcript by mail, you can either print the request form located on our website (visit www.sunywcc.edu/transcripts), or you can send us a letter with your name, Student ID number, dates of attendance, complete addresses where to mail each transcript, and complete payment for your order. Checks and money orders are the only forms of payment accepted through the mail. If students have questions about an outgoing WCC transcript or transcript order placed for their WCC transcript, please email transcript@sunywcc.edu Please note that students should not request electronic official transcript to be sent to themselves and then forward them to other institutions; they will not be considered official and will not be accepted that way. The electronic transcript must be sent directly from Westchester Community College to the other college or institution.
