Calculus (MATH 181)/Calculus for Business (MATH 180). This exam is administered based on recommendation ONLY. You must receive permission from an academic counselor or the mathematics department before you’re allowed to take this exam. After receiving permission, interested students can visit www.sunywcc.edu/testingcenter to schedule their AAF exam. Handheld calculators are not allowed during testing unless they are a prescribed accommodation. There is a $20.00 fee for the placement questionnaires. Students are charged the testing fee after completing the assessment and it is due at the time students pay their tuition. The student does NOT pay the fee at the time when they take the questionnaires. For students receiving financial aid, the $20 fee will be part of the financial aid package. How long does it take to complete the placement questionnaires? The amount of time required to complete the placement questionnaires varies by student, but it averages approximately 30-45 minutes per questionnaire. Additionally, the Questionnaires are untimed and students may stop and finish at a later date using the same Questionnaire links that were provided to them. How can I be waived from the placement questionnaires? (non-Early Admit Students) Waiver criteria can be found at www.sunywcc.edu/testingenter and is summarized below: English and Reading Questionnaires • Submit an official transcript from a regionally accredited college or university to confirm that you completed a 3-credit college-level English course equivalent to our ENG 101 (Writing and Research) with a grade of C or better OR • Submit an official transcript to confirm that you have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in the United States OR • Submit applicable English AP exam score of 3 or higher (receive college credit) OR • Submit the following English SAT or ACT or Regents Test Scores to Admissions ACT NEW SAT (after March 1, 2016) Regents 23 550 85 Mathematics Questionnaires • Submit an official transcript from an accredited college/university to confirm that you have completed a credit-bearing college-level mathematics course with a grade of C or better OR • Submit applicable Mathematics AP exam score of 3 or higher (receive college credit) OR • Submit the following Math SAT or ACT or Regents Test Scores to Admissions ACT NEW SAT (after March 1, 2016) Regents 22 530 80 (on one of these Regents exams: Algebra 1, Algebra 2, or Geometry) Waivers
