Wintersession 2010

The Wintersession Office will be closed for the holidays from December 24 through January 3. If you want to register for a class, the only way to do so will be to come directly to the Ossining Center on January 4 with all your materials: application form, transcripts from other schools, and payment (each class is 499.75, plus an additional 25.00 if this is your very first time at WCC, check or money order only). If your class starts at 9:30, be there by 9:00; if your class starts at 1:30, be there by 1:00. Late registration is Monday January 4 only. Do not mail any materials or payments to the college; nobody is there to receive the mail and we won’t be able to register you on January 4 if your paperwork and payment are in the mail. Registration and Payment Information
Please check with your home institution before registering to verify that credits will be transferrable to your school. There are no refunds after the allowable drop period, whether a course is transferable or not.

Effective Monday Nov. 30, payment of tuition and fees is expected at the time you submit your application for wintersession. All classes are $499.75 (includes all fees) for Westchester County residents. If you've never attended WCC before, please add an additional $25 for the non-refundable application fee. If you do not live in Westchester County, please call the Wintersession office at 914-606-8890 for the tuition charges before submitting your application.

How to Register:

  1. Complete the special Wintersession Application for Admission
  2. Select the course for which you’d like to register on the application form.
  3. Mail your Application along with the required, non-refundable $25 application fee to the address on the bottom of the form.
  4. Once you’ve been admitted and registered, you’ll receive an email confirmation and instructions for payment.

Tuition for Westchester County residents:
$153 per credit or $459 for a 3 credit course.

Tuition for non-Westchester County residents:
$383 per credit or $1,149 for a 3 credit course.
Out of county residents with a Certificate of Residency from their home county will be charged at the county resident rate. Click here for an Application for a Certificate of Residency.

Important Dates to Remember:
Registration begins October 1, 2009.
All charges must be paid before December 23, 2009.
Late registration is January 4, 2009 only ($5.00 late fee applies).

Refund Schedule
If class is dropped before January 4, 2010: 100% refund
If class is dropped January 4-8, 2010: 25% refund
After January 8, 2010: no refund

Dropping a class must be done in writing. Remember, simply failing to attend is not an official drop.
