Honors Program
Great News!!!
Incoming students with strong placement scores are eligible for
the Westchester Community College Honors
Program.
If your placement essay score is "9" or
higher, you automatically qualify for Composition and Literature 1—Honors.
No extra permission required!
- Fill out the Honors Program
Application Form
- Register for your Honors course in person with
any counselor. It is not possible to register for Honors courses using
StarTel.
If your overall placement scores are solid,
you are strongly encouraged to apply for admission to the Honors Program.
The following placement
score record would make you eligible:

- Fill out the WCC Honors Program
Application Form available in the Testing and Assessment Center, LIB
ground floor, or
online.
- Within a week you will be contacted by
mail or phone by one of the Honors Program Co-Directors. If you are
admitted, you will be invited for an interview during which you and the
Program Administrator will plan your Honors course of study.
