About the Career & Transfer
Center
The Career and Transfer Center is a
full-service center which provides free lifetime services to all
students and former students. The Center helps bridge the gap from
college to a successful career and helps area employers and four year
colleges connect with students.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Career &
Transfer Center is to support Westchester Community College’s academic
programs by designing, implementing, and managing services, programs and
systems that meet the four-year college transfer, career development and
employment needs of students and alumni. The Career & Transfer Center
also strives to meet the staffing needs of local, regional and national
employers. The Career & Transfer Center seeks to fulfill this mission
through six interrelated program goals:
- To help students develop, refine,
and/or implement appropriate career objectives.
- To assist students in acquiring
information, knowledge, and competencies that enhance their career
development, academic success, college transfer, and employability.
- To provide services and resources
which support students’ and graduates’ candidacy with employers and
facilitates transfer to four-year colleges and universities.
- To develop relationships with
employers that provide part-time, work/study, summer, temporary,
cooperative education/internship and full-time employment
opportunities for students and graduates.
- To support the overall development of
students and goals of the Department of Counseling and Student
Development and Division of Student Personnel Services.
- To support the mission and advancement
of Westchester Community College and the success of its programs and
its graduates.
