Career Workshop Series Fall 2010
Career Decisions- What Really Matters
Are you undecided about what to major in? Would you like to know more
about yourself and which careers would be a good fit for you? Are you
confused about where to begin?
This workshop will review the basic steps to a career decision, how to
get started with learning about yourself and techniques for career
research. Learn about the tools and assessments offered by the Career &
Transfer Center.

Resumes that Rock!
Does your resume get you interviews? Do you need help creating your
first resume?"
Studies show that the average hiring manager spends 20 seconds looking
at a resume before deciding to grant an interview. Your resume really
needs to stand out from the crowd. In this workshop you will learn how
to construct an effect resume that helps you stand out and gets
interviews!

Interview to Impress
If you are a student who will be interviewing for FT, PT, Summer jobs or
Internships, this is an essential program for you!
Learn the techniques of successfully interviewing for jobs- how to
prepare, answer typical questions, make a good impression and get that
all important job offer.

Internships 101
Are you interested in getting experience related to your area of study?
Are you looking to make connections in the industry in which you hope to
work??
This workshop will provide basic information on the WCC Cooperative
Education/Internship Program. Topics include how to get started, the
best time to do an internship, program requirements, credit options and
gaining the most from the experience.

Maximizing CCN Online Career Management System
Need a job, need career information, need a resume tutor. It’s all there
on CCN- College Central Network the Westchester Community College on
line career system. Learn how to search for jobs posted to your school,
post your resumes, track your resume submissions, access career
information, blog and videos.
