| The Vikings are a Division II team in the NJCAA and compete in Region XV and the Mid-Hudson Conference. The goal every season is to make it to the NJCAA Division II World Series in Batavia New York. A bid to the World Series is earned by winning the Region XV Championship Tournament. The Vikings have won two Region XV Championships, 1981 and 1992. In 1992 Westchester competed in the first ever NJCAA Division III World Series. Each season Westchester plays a 40 game schedule in the spring against NJCAA Division III, II and I teams along with several games against four-year JV's and local prep schools. The year starts in September with a 20 game exhibition schedule against local four-year and two-year colleges. The Vikings have established a tradition of receiving All Conference and All Region honors with several players going on to earn All American honors. The exposure afforded to players at Westchester has resulted in scholarship offers from such schools as SUNY Albany, Iona, Pace, Mercy, Concordia, Sacred Heart and many others. Six players have been signed by major league organizations. This includes Jamie Quirk signed by the White Sox and Vic Davilla, who currently plays for the Albany Coloniel Diamond Dogs of the Northern League, owned by the Blue Jays.
