The Westchester Community College golf team is a Division III team in
Region XV of the NJCAA and the Mid Hudson Conference. The Vikings play
five to six tournaments along with several dual matches during their
spring season culminating in the Region XV Championships and the NJCAA
National Championships for those who qualify.
Preparation for the season begins in the
fall with several scrimmage tournaments and continues with a southern
trip during spring break.
Viking golfers are privileged to play
some of the finest country club caliber courses in the northeast.
Included are the Viking's home courses of Knollwood Country Club and
Whipporwill Country Club.
Numerous Viking golfers have advanced on
to four year schools and the PGA. In the past couple years several
Westchester Alums have earned jobs as PGA pros at local courses and
clubs and several others have played on pro tours such as the "Tear
Drops Tour".
