BORROWING POLICIES
(Student ID/Library Card required):
RULES OF CONDUCT
  • Current WCC students, faculty, staff , and administrators
  • Residents or employees of Westchester County
  • Current SUNY students
  • Permanent faculty and staff from a WALDO institution
No food or drink Refrain from eating or drinking.
no-talking Observe quiet areas as posted; set earphones low so as not to disturb others.
No cell phones in library Cell phone conversations must be conducted outside the building.
BOOKS MATERIALS ON RESERVE
  • Students: 21 days, no max. (limit: five on one topic)
  • Faculty: 90 days, no max.
  • All others: 21 days, 20 max. (limit: five on one topic)
Search the Textbooks & Reserves for materials in the Reserve Collection. All reserve items are available at the Circulation desk on the first floor. Student ID required.
MEDIA MATERIALS PERIODICALS
  • Faculty: may borrow all materials for class presentations
  • Students: up to 3 for seven days. No renewals.
  • All Others: On-site use only.
On-site use - up to three issues at a time. Request periodicals at the circulation desk, main floor. (One-day loans are available with librarian permission.)
HOLDS & RENEWALS WIFI
CLICK HERE to request materials for future pick up. Materials are held for seven (7) days.CLICK HERE for instructions to renew library materials online. Free campus WiFi may be accessed from your mobile device inside and outside the library building. Campus Computer Use Policy applies to all usage.
COMPUTER USE PRINTING
The Library follows the campus Computer Use Policy. Users working on assignments have priority in their use. Users may be asked to give up their seat if they are not working on school or research assignments when there is demand by other users for course or research work. Networked and wireless printers are located on the first and second floors of the library. Sign-in with network or MyWCC ID is required of users from the campus community.

LAPTOPS PHOTOCOPIERS
  • Current WCC students during the hours of 10 am and 2 pm, Mon-Thurs
  • For academic use on 1st floor only
  • Issued on a first come, first-served basis for a 2-hour loan period. No renewals
  • At time of check out, borrower must present student ID plus one other piece of identification and sign a policies agreement
Copies are 10 cents per page. The machines take nickels, dimes, quarters, and dollar bills.
OVERDUE AND LOST MATERIALS  OVERDUE FINES
Overdue fines are levied, and bills are sent for the cost of lost materials. Students may not register, receive a transcript, their diploma, or financial aid check, if they have billed books or other library materials outstanding.
