In any business, especially one as bustling as Stew Leonard’s in Yonkers, communication is key. To improve the English language skills of Spanish-speaking employees at the store, the Human Resources Coordinator looked to Westchester Community College.

“We had a number of employees who needed the opportunity to improve their language skills,” she says. “Some of them have direct contact with customers while others do not. Our employees were excited about the possibility of improving their knowledge of English so they can advance within the company.”
