If you live in Westchester county you DO NOT need this form, just continue to step 4.

If you are a New York State resident living outside of Westchester County, you must submit a Certificate of Residence as part of your APPLICATION PACKAGE . For more info click here.

Once you receive a signed Certificate of Residence from the finance office of your home county, fax a copy to the Admissions office 606-6540 and then mail the original (not a copy) to the Bursar's Office.  The original must be received no later than 30 days after the start of the semester.

Note: if you are unable to obtain a certificate of residence by the time payment is required, you have the option of paying out-of-county rates and sending in the certificate and a request for refund later.  The original must be here within 30 days of the start of the semester.  Contact the Bursar's office; the refund request form can be emailed to you and faxed back to the office.

4. If a course has a Prerequisite you need show proof that satisfies the prerequisite: return to checklist

Proof of High School or official transcipts will be required if pursuing a degree.

Students that are pursuing a degree in WCC and who have NEVER attended college must request that an official high school transcript be sent directly to Westchester Community College.  Current high school students must submit an official final transcript or copy of the diploma upon graduation. GED recipients must submit an official copy of their GED.  Official transcripts should be requested and be forwarded directly to the Office of Admissions. For more info click here

Check for course prerequisites requirements

If the course you want to take has a prerequisite, you need to show proof that you have taken the prerequisite. You may fax Unofficial transcripts from another college as proof. Proof of satisified prerequisites must be received prior to enrollment in the course.

Note: Mathematics and English courses require Placement Tests unless you have taken college-level mathematics or English at another college. Placement tests may be taken as soon as you are notified by the Admissions Office that the application package is complete. For more information or to schedule a placement test click here . Placement test scores are entered into the information system, so you do not need to show proof you have taken the Placement tests.
