Materials
found on the Internet
Files are
downloaded from the Internet and scanned with virus
detection software before they are installed or executed.
All software
on the Internet should be considered copyright work
unless stated otherwise. Software should not be downloaded
unless there is permission from the copyright holder
or unless it falls within the doctrine of "Fair
Use". See
Fair Use guidelines.
Placing
Material on the Internet
Faculty
and staff should be made aware of copyright law when
placing material from someone else on a Website. Owning
a copy of copyrighted work does not make you the copyright
holder. You may need permission from the copyright
holder, unless it is in the public domain. See Public
Domain guidelines under
Fair Use.
Faculty
and staff shall not place university material on any
publicly accessible Internet computer without prior
permission from the copyright holder.
