Westchester Community College Teleconferencing

Westchester Community College can downlink a program from satellite just for you! You can now provide educational workshops and teleconferences for your employees or organization through WCC.

Theater, lecture halls and other rooms on campus will accommodate groups that range from 15 to 400 people. It is possible to handle larger groups by sending the signal to more than one room through special arrangements.

Fees

1. Private Sector - Flat rate of $350 per downlink event.
2. Educational Institutions & Government Agencies - Flat rate of $300 per downlink event.
3. Westchester County Agencies - Flat rate of $125 per downlink.
4. Special pricing available for multiple events, series, etc.

This fee covers all technical services, room, a television or TV projector appropriate to room size, telephone, use of any standard A/V equipment, directional signage on campus and free parking in student/visitor areas and handicapped areas.

Possible Additional Fees

1. Events after 5 pm and/or on weekends may require additional technicians fees averaging $25/hr.
2. VHS copies of event (license agreement permitting) are $10 per tape.
3. Campus Food services available through separate arrangement. Call (914) 606-6617 for details and pricing.
4. Downlink license fees (if any) are the responsibility of the group sponsoring the event and the agency providing the uplinked program.

ROOM CAPACITY & AVAILABILITY

1. Room availability on a first come/first serve basis. College classes & functions take precedence. Theater, lecture halls, and other rooms will accommodate groups that range from 15 to 400. It is possible to handle larger groups by sending the signal to more than one room but will require more advanced notice and special arrangements. Please let us know approximate attendance as soon as possible to better match room size to the number of people.
2. Advance Notice at least 2 weeks prior to an event is appreciated. Naturally, the sooner arrangements are made, the more likely you are to acquire the space and time requested (many events are booked several months in advance). Specific technical satellite information must be provided at least one day prior to the event (satellite name, transponder, channel frequency, etc.) to be able to receive the program.
3. Transmission Capability: Educational access channel on local cable TV system. Satellite uplinks are possible through special arrangement with NYN/SunySat (www.nyn.suny.edu) and at least four months advance notice.

Westchester Community College Videoconferencing

Westchester Community College can provide a multi-functional conference room and workstation that combines videoconferencing, Internet access, PC applications and data sharing all in one place with the Intel TeamStation. 

A professional conference room will accommodate up to 25 people. It is possible to handle larger groups by sending the signal to more than one room through special arrangements.

Fees

Educational, Government and Public, Private and other organizations   $125 per hour (2 hour minimum)

This fee covers all technical services, room, television, TV projector appropriate to the room size, use of any standard A/V equipment, directional signage on campus and free parking in the student and visitor areas.

In addition, there will be a $.30 per minute telephone line charge for the duration of the videoconferencing connection.

Additional information

• Events after 5:00 PM or on weekends may require additional technical fees of $25 per hour.
• Food services are available through a separate agreement.
• At least one month notice prior to an event is required.
