Vision and Values Survey
The Faculty Senate charged the Ad Hoc Vision and Values Committee with creating a Vision Statement (a statement of the future that the institution aspires to achieve), and a set of Values (core beliefs defining what an institution stands for and behaves by) that will guide the College community’s decisions and actions.
To be successful we need the help of all members of Westchester Community College. Please complete this short survey, and become part of a very important event in the college’s history.
Your ideas and opinions are extremely valuable to the success of this mission.
The data from this survey will be collected, assessed and analyzed for presentation at the Vision and Values Summit. The summit will take place on Friday, April 6 and is open to all members of the college community.
The committee used the following definitions during this process:
Vision Statement: “A statement of the future that the educational institution aspires to achieve, or a description of a future state that is better in some significant way than what currently exists”.
Values Statement: “Values are deeply held ideals and beliefs; their underlying principles guide the institutions’ day to day procedures and the behaviors of the institutions’ members”.
