Summer Energy Camp for high school students

There are still spaces available in our Summer Energy Camp which runs July 22-26. The camp is designed for high school students interested in learning about the field of energy generation and transmission. Over the course of the week, the students will build small windmills to power led lights as well as model solar cars. In the process, they will look at how solar panels are used to collect and store energy. Included in the camp is a trip to Entergy Nuclear Plant at Indian Point to see how nuclear energy is used to generate electric power. The camp carries a $15 fee for the students.
